The cabin is located in the scenic Bärfendal area in the borderland between the coast and the inland environments. Here you get to experience both long narrow valleys and high mountains with mile-long views of land and coast. In the forest there are plenty of berries and mushrooms and nearby the Soteleden - Kuststigen passes a fantastically beautiful coastal and varied hiking trail that stretches through the entire municipality of Sotenäs. Along the trail there are nice viewpoints, ancient remains, overnight cabins and shelters. The area has excellent conditions for rock climbing. There is a swimming area in the lake Stora Tosteröd's water or in Bovallstrand's salty sea water. The cabin is also geographically well located for day trips to other charming coastal communities both north and south. The cottage is situated in a scenic setting on a slope down towards a lake. Here the morning sun meets your breakfast time at the cottage's knot while nature wakes up with birdsong and maybe you'll be lucky enough to see both deer and moose passing by in the surroundings. Via the cottage's entrance, you enter a hall and further into the living room with a warming, cozy wood-burning stove. Further in the cottage there is a kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and coffee maker, dining area with dining group, two bedrooms with 2 single beds in each room with lovely soft mattresses, and bathroom with shower. From the living room you reach the cottage's covered terrace, a lovely place to enjoy the rays of the afternoon sun while you grill a good piece of food. From the balcony, a staircase leads down to the grounds, which are large and offer great opportunities for sunbathing or playing games for a while. Bovallstrand is a nice old fishing village and with its location right by the sea, salt bathing becomes a given activity and here are also the famous bathing islets which are one of Bohuslän's finest bathing spots suitable for both swimming and fishing. In the buildings, much has been preserved from when shipping, fishing and stone-cutting flourished, which gave Bovallstrand its fine atmosphere. In the immediate area there are more pleasant and well-visited archipelago communities such as Smögen and Hunnebostrand, there is also a zoo called Nordens Ark where you can meet around 80 of the world's endangered animals. The beautiful nature and the opportunity to meet animals such as wolves, snow leopards or to come face to face with the world's largest feline, the Amur tiger, make the zoo a very popular excursion destination. In nearby Gerlesborg, there is an art school and a collective workshop where you can both see various exhibitions but also attend various training courses. For those who want to swing a golf club, it is not far to Sotenäs GK. If the weather turns cloudy or you feel the need for a workout in a gym environment, there is Tumlaren, Sotenäs municipality's swimming and wellness facility located in the coastal community of Väjern.
