The Space:
'The Rock’ is located directly across the road from the iconic surf break, Bird Rock. The Bird Rock Lookout is high above the sandstone cliffs that fall into Bass Strait and gives an unspoiled view of the incredible and popular Jan Juc Surf Beach.
Back at the house, the relaxed coastal setting harnesses its sunny north aspect, with beautiful views over the treed hamlet of Jan Juc. The beach shack accommodates up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms, with 1 bathroom and 1 living area. The neat kitchen has an electric oven and Aldi coffee pod machine, with a brekky bar and 6-seater dining table for holiday meals. Sitting inside under soaring raked ceilings, or on the Adirondack chairs on the front veranda, you will never tire of the sweeping northerly views. Curl up on the couch, enjoy the ambience of the electric fireplace and watch TV (Telstra TV box connected so guests can access their own Netflix accounts). There are two ceiling fans, but no air conditioning/cooling.
Fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean and walk to the Bird Rock Lookout every morning, for the first of many daily surf checks. All bedrooms have wardrobes and are beautifully appointed with hotel quality sheets and bath towels. Please BYO beach towels. The bathroom has a bath, shower and toilet, while the laundry is equipped with a washing machine (no clothes dryer).
