The Cottage:
The cottage is free-standing and located in the garden of the main house - a beautiful 150 year old thatch house surrounded by a well established garden including an ancient yellow wood tree. It is accessed through a private garage which allows parking for 1 vehicle (perfect for a small to medium car, but may accommodate certain large SUVs). The garage opens onto a large lawn with stepping stones leading to the cottage, which is entered via a private garden patio. The patio is nested under beautiful trees and surrounded by tree ferns, it overlooks the main house's back garden, but is sheltered from view, and offers outdoor furniture to enjoy the space.
Inside the cottage there is a kitchen equipped with necessary kitchen appliances for 1-2 occupants, including a 2-plate gas stove, oven, mini dishwasher, fridge, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle (complimentary arrival coffee pods and tea bags provided), crockery and cutlery. The kitchen offers a bar counter for dining. An ironing board and iron are also provided.
The lounge is nestled in a large bay window overlooking the garden, and includes a 50 inch smart TV (wifi is provided, guests to use their own streaming accounts). The study area includes a desk and multiple plug points, it is located in the second bay window and looks onto the cottage's private patio making for an inviting work area.
The bedroom offers a comfortable, extra-length king size bed with pure cotton bedding, and an assortment of both feather and micro-fibre pillows. The en-suite bathroom comprises a free-standing shower, bath, basin and toilet. Towels are provided.

The Cottage is located in a small cul-de-sac in Claremont, a sought-after suburb in Cape Town which includes several recreational and professional attractions. We are located 5 minute walk from the beautiful Arderne gardens which are popular for picnics and walks, 7 minute walk from numerous medical services including Kingsbury Hospital, Cape Fertility, Life Peninsula Eye Hospital, Claremont Hospital, Crescent Clinic, and many specialist and general practitioners' practices and pharmacies. We are a 10 minute walk from Cavendish Square, a large upmarket shopping mall that includes supermarkets, homeware, clothing, cinemas, coffee shops and restaurants. There are many trendy restaurants located within easy walking or driving distance in Newlands Village, Claremont, Upper Kenilworth, and Harfield Village which cater for all tastes and eating preferences.
