Hawks Nest shops and supermarket are a flat 15 minute walk (or 5 minute bike ride). Nearby Bennetts Beach is ideal for surfing. The Hawks Nest Golf Club and Myall Park Tennis Club are a 5 minute drive. The nearby Myall Lakes National Park has great walking tracks and Mungo Brush is a prime spot for fishing in the lakes and ocean - popular for bream, flathead, whiting and salmon.
